BACKGROUND

The developer of EstateContact.com has himself worked as a real estate agent in Spain for several years, and this is what he say about developing the EstateContact.com Video Mail Solution.

As a real estate agent is Spain I was working a lot with clients from overseas and most communication prior to a inspection trip normally was done through E-mail and phone. The initial contact was almost always done by E-mail.

I always felt that there was something missing in the communication and the first thing I did was to start including a picture of myself in the E-mails, this worked perfectly and the results started to get better at once. I made a small enquery among my clients to see why, and almost all replied; we were in contact with several but you were the only one we could put a face on. So it was obvious to me that beeing personal was the answer. I then tried a few Audio Mails and the results increased even more, so my conclusion was that the more personal you were the better the results would be.

I now started to look for a solution that would make it easy for me to send Video Mails to my clients. The most imporimportant thing for me when looking was that the system had to be easy to use, I did not want to buy more equipment and I did not want to use more time on creating a Video Mail than on a normal mail. My search gave some results, in I tried a few of the solutions on the market. Most of them was to complicated, not that they were hard to use or hard to understand but it simply was to time consuming. Others were just fine but extremly expensive if you wanted to use Video Mail as your primary form of communication, the limitation in the number of Videos etc. was simply to strict. So there I was with a good ide but no real solution to the problem.

For some time I keept on doing my Audio Mails and occatinally I did some Video Mails. But after some time I decided to make a solution and get it out there for others to use as well. I made some requirements for the solution that had to be in place:

• Online recording of the Videos without any software or complicated equipment
• Take no more time than to create a normal mail or less
• Possibility to track when my clients read their mails
• Possibility to make a personal "Video Mail Page"
• Simple click and send possibilities
• An archive of all Video Mails sent.

Adn after some time EstateContact.com was a reallity and it is even better than I imagined. We have even added Audio Mail and some other features like Address Book, Video Integration on your web-site and reply possibilities for your clients. And we will keep on adding new features also in the future.
